Hard Way wins third sailfish tournament – Sun

Hard Way was in second place the first day after catching and releasing three sailfish off Pacific Light. Capt. Ray Rosher’s Miss Britt was first with five releases Friday fishing in the same area.

“Ray Rosher is not exactly the person you want to be chasing,” said Deka of the perennial sailfish tournament favorite. “I don’t think we thought we were going to beat Ray. We just went out to have a fun time.”

Miss Britt had two releases to finish second with a total of seven. Bali Hai was third with five, followed by The Natural with five and Pretty Work with four. The 116 anglers on 23 boats released a total of 40 sailfish.
